1. About these terms and conditions
Grey Parrot Education provides independent school consultancy services and a website (greyparroteducation.com). By booking any service or using this website, you agree to these terms and conditions and our privacy policy.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published at greyparroteducation.com/terms-and-conditions is the definitive version.
2. Services
Grey Parrot Education offers the following services:
- Discovery Call — A 20-minute phone call to understand your situation and establish fit
- Finding the Fit — A 60-minute consultation with document review and written recommendations
- Supported Steps — Finding the Fit plus two follow-up check-ins over 2–3 months
- Guided Journey — Full support over 4–6 months, limited to 6 families per admissions cycle
- Mock Interview — A practice interview for your child with written feedback

3. What Services Do Not Include
Grey Parrot Education does not provide:
- Tutoring or academic exam preparation
- Completion of school application forms
- Guarantees of school offers or admissions outcomes
- Visa or immigration advice
I provide guidance and recommendations based on my professional experience. The final decision on school selection remains with you, the parent or guardian.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1. How to Book
To book a service, contact Grey Parrot Education via email at contact@greyparroteducation.com. Once we have agreed a date and time, I will send you an invoice.
4.2 Payment
Payment is due in full before your scheduled appointment. I accept bank transfer and other methods as advised on your invoice.
4.3 Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received and acknowledged.
5. Credit System
If you start with a smaller service and later upgrade to a higher tier, the fee you have already paid will be credited toward the new service:
- Discovery Call (£75) is credited toward Finding the Fit, Supported Steps, or Guided Journey
- Finding the Fit (£395) is credited toward Supported Steps or Guided Journey
Credits apply only when upgrading within the same admissions cycle and for the same child.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Cancellation by You
If you need to cancel a booked appointment:
- No-show without notice — No refund
- More than 48 hours’ notice — Full refund or rescheduling offered
- Less than 48 hours’ notice — No refund, but I will try to reschedule where possible
6.2 Cancellation by Grey Parrot Education
If I need to cancel an appointment due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will offer you an alternative date or a full refund.
6.3 Guided Journey Cancellation
For Guided Journey clients, if you wish to end the service early, no refund will be given for the portion of the service already delivered. Refunds for the remaining period will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
7. Rescheduling
You may reschedule an appointment with at least 48 hours’ notice. Rescheduling requests with less than 48 hours’ notice will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.
Repeated rescheduling (more than twice for the same appointment) may result in forfeiture of the booking without refund.
8. Mock Interviews
Mock interviews are conducted via Google Meet. A parent or guardian must be available at the start and end of the session for handover and debrief.
Written feedback will be provided within 48–72 hours of the session.
9. Confidentiality
All information you share with me – including documents, reports and details about your child will be treated as confidential. I will not share your information with any third party without your consent, except where required by law or where a safeguarding concern arises.
Where I recommend a specialist (such as an educational psychologist), I will seek your permission before making an introduction.
10. Liability
Grey Parrot Education provides guidance based on professional experience and knowledge of the independent school sector. However:
- I do not guarantee any particular outcome, including school offers or admissions success
- I am not liable for decisions you make based on my recommendations
- I am not liable for any actions taken or not taken by schools
You acknowledge that school admissions decisions are made by schools, not by Grey Parrot Education.
11. Intellectual Property
All written materials I provide to you (including consultation summaries, school recommendations and feedback reports) are for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without my written consent.
12. Website
The content of this website is the intellectual property of Grey Parrot Education. Information on this website is provided for general guidance and may be updated from time to time. I do not guarantee that the website will be error-free or uninterrupted.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me at contact@greyparroteducation.com. I will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it promptly.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
